تم اليوم الأربعاء إحالة الجنرال ميمون المنصوري، قائد الحرس الملكي، على القيادة العامة للقوات المسلحة الملكية دون مهام، بعد تفشي فيروس كورونا بشكل مفاجئ وسط عشرات الجنود بثكنة الرباط، وذلك نتيجة التسهيلات غير المبررة التي تم منحها لبعض الجنود للمغادرة لزيارة عائلاتهم بحي السلام بسلا وبعض الأحياء بالرباط، مما أدى إلى نقل العدوى إلى عناصر أخرى ورفع عدد المصابين بمدينة الرباط خلال اليومين الأخيرين.
وحسب مصادر مؤكدة فقد أصيب حوالي 130 جنديا من أصل 600 المرابطين بثكنة الرباط، وتوجد الحالات المصابة بالمستشفى العسكري محمد الخامس بالرباط، وتم وضع مخالطيهم بالمستشفى الإقليمي مولاي عبد الله بسلا وبعض مستشفيات الرباط وتمارة.
وفي السياق ذاته تم تعيين الجنيرال عبد العزيز شاطر قائدا للحرس الملكي.
