فارق ثلاث من رجال الوقاية المدنية الحياة فيما نقل آخرون للمستشفى بعدما كانوا يؤدون واجبهم المهني خلال عمليات لاخماد الحرائق التي اندلعت أمس الإثنين بغابات “كابونيغرو” والمضيق.
وانطلق الحريق المهول من منطقة “كدية الطيفور” قرب مرتفع يطل على ميناء “الرينكون”، قبل أن تتجه النيران في اتجاه كابونيغرو، بفعل هبوب الرياح التي ساهمت في انتشار رقعة الحريق الذي تجهل أسبابه حتى الآن.
واستنفر الحريق السلطة المحلية وعناصر الإطفاء ومصالح المياه والغابات ومحاربة التصحر، كما تعززت جهود الإطفاء بحلول طائرتين من نوع كنادير.
ويواصل الحريق ابتلاع الأخضر واليابس، خاصة بعد توقف عمليات الإطفاء الجوية، واستمرار الجهود البرية، مع استعار النيران التي باتت قريبة من بعض المنتجعات السياحية الأهلة بالمصطافين
و التهمت ألسنة اللهب عشرات الأشجار بفعل تواجد حشائش وأعشاب يابسة وهبوب رياح ساهمت في انتشار الحريق.
وإلى حدود الحادية عشرة ليلا من يوم الإثنين، تواصل رقعة الحريق الاتساع وسط تصاعد أدخنة كثيفة تحجب مجال الرؤية، لكنها لن تخفي فداحة الخسائر التي حولت غابة كابونيغرو إلى أراض جرداء
