أعلنت منظمة الصحة العالمية عن توسيع برنامجها للتأهيل المسبق للأجهزة الطبية ليشمل برمجيات تعتمد على الذكاء الاصطناعي للمساعدة في الكشف عن مرض السل.
وقالت المنظمة إن “التوسع يشمل برمجيات تستخدم صور الأشعة السنية الرقمية للصدر والذكاء الاصطناعي لتحديد الأشخاص الذين قد يكونون مصابين بالسل ويحتاجون إلى فحوص إضافية”.
وسجلت أن نحو 70 في المائة من البلدان أفادت بأن أجهزتها التنظيمية للأدوية واللقاحات غير كافية أو ضعيفة، مؤكدة أن توسيع البرنامج سيساعد الدول، لا سيما ذات القدرات التنظيمية المحدودة، على الوصول إلى أجهزة طبية تستوفي المعايير الدولية للجودة والسلامة والأداء.
