بحث الأمين العام لمجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية، جاسم البديوي، والأمين العام للأمم المتحدة، أنطونيو غوتيريش، آخر المستجدات في المنطقة وتأثيرها على الأمن والاستقرار والاقتصاد الإقليمي والدولي.
وذكرت الأمانة العامة لمجلس التعاون، في بيان اليوم الخميس، أن ذلك جاء خلال استقبال غوتيريش للبديوي على هامش مشاركته في المناقشة المفتوحة رفيعة المستوى لمجلس الأمن بنيويورك أمس الأربعاء.
ووفق البيان، أكد البديوي، خلال اللقاء، أن “الاعتداءات الإيرانية الغادرة ضد دول المجلس واستهدافها للبنى التحتية وبشكل ممنهج، يؤكد على رغبتها في زعزعة الأمن والاستقرار وتقويض جهود السلام، وعلى أهمية وضع حد لهذه الاعتداءات وردع إيران عن مواصلة سياساتها العدوانية، بما يحفظ السلم والأمن الدوليين”.
من جهته، أعرب غوتيريش عن “تجديد تضامنه مع دول المجلس ضد الاعتداءات الإيرانية وأهمية وقف هذه الاعتداءات التي تهدد الأمن والاستقرار”.
كما تم، بهذه المناسبة، تبادل وجهات النظر حول عدد من الملفات الإقليمية والجهود المبذولة تجاهها، بالإضافة إلى سبل تعزيز علاقات التعاون بين مجلس التعاون والأمم المتحدة.
