أعلن الاتحاد الفرنسي لكرة القدم، اليوم الخميس، أنه سيعقد مؤتمرا صحفيا الثلاثاء المقبل لتقديم المدرب الجديد للمنتخب الفرنسي، عقب اجتماع استثنائي للجنة التنفيذية، دون الكشف عن هوية المدرب.
وأوضح الاتحاد، في بيان له، أن رئيسه فيليب ديالو سيقدم المدرب الجديد إلى وسائل الإعلام بمقر الاتحاد في باريس، في أعقاب الاجتماع المقرر صباح يوم 28 يوليوز.
ويعد النجم الفرنسي السابق زين الدين زيدان (54 عاما) الأوفر حظا لخلافة ديدييه ديشان، رغم أن اسمه لم يرد في البيان الرسمي.
وكان ديشان قد أنهى مشواره مع المنتخب الفرنسي، الذي بدأ سنة 2012، عقب احتلال “الديوك” المركز الرابع في نهائيات كأس العالم 2026 بالولايات المتحدة، بعدما قاد المنتخب إلى التتويج بلقب مونديال 2018.
ومنذ رحيله عن ريال مدريد عقب فترته الثانية مع النادي الإسباني (2019-2021)، لم ي خف زيدان طموحه في الإشراف يوما ما على المنتخب الفرنسي، على غرار زميليه السابقين البارزين في المنتخب، لوران بلان (2010-2012) وديشان (2012-2026).
ولم يشرف زيدان خلال مسيرته سوى على تدريب ناد واحد هو ريال مدريد، حيث قاد النادي الملكي إلى إحراز لقب دوري أبطال أوروبا ثلاث مرات متتالية (2016 و2017 و2018)، في أرفع مسابقة أوروبية للأندية.
