أجرى الفريق أول، المفتش العام للقوات المسلحة الملكية وقائد المنطقة الجنوبية، اليوم الجمعة بمقر القيادة العامة للمنطقة الجنوبية، مباحثات مع دانيال دريسكول، وزير الجيش الأمريكي، الذي يقوم بزيارة عمل للمملكة.
وذكر بلاغ للقيادة العامة للقوات المسلحة الملكية أن المباحثات بين المفتش العام للقوات المسلحة الملكية ووزير الجيش الأمريكي تمحورت حول مختلف أوجه التعاون العسكري الثنائي الذي يندرج في إطار دينامية للتطوير المستمر سنة بعد أخرى.
وأشاد المسؤولان بالعلاقات الممتازة بين القوات المسلحة الملكية والقوات المسلحة الأمريكية، والتي يجسدها حوار استراتيجي منتظم وأنشطة تعاون مكثفة ومنتظمة، على غرار تمرين “الأسد الإفريقي”، الذي تتزامن دورته لسنة 2026 مع الذكرى 250 لاستقلال الولايات المتحدة.
وفي ختام هذه المباحثات، زار المسؤولان مركز العمليات متعدد الجنسيات (CJTF ) للاطلاع على سير التدريبات، وأيضا، التكنولوجيات الناشئة المعتمدة خلال هذه الدورة من “الأسد الإفريقي”.
يشار إلى أن المباحثات جاءت بتعليمات سامية من جلالة الملك، القائد الأعلى ورئيس أركان الحرب العامة للقوات المسلحة الملكية، وبمناسبة الدورة الـ 22 من تمرين “الأسد الإفريقي”.
