أكد أحمد والي علمي، رئيس قطب الدعوى العمومية وتتبع تنفيذ السياسة الجنائية برئاسة النيابة العامة أن أعمال التخريب وإضرام النار وأعمال العنف أفعال إجرامية لا علاقة لها بحرية التعبير ، يعاقب عليها القانون الجنائي بعقوبات سجنية ثقيلة .
وقال أحمد والي علمي في تصريح لوكالة المغرب العربي للأنباء إن “أعمال التخريب وإضرام النار وأعمال العنف التي طالت الممتلكات العامة والخاصة وألحقت أضرارا بدنية بالأشخاص عقب الوقفات غير المصرح بها، لا علاقة لها بأي شكل من الأشكال بحرية التعبير وأنها عبارة عن أفعال إجرامية يعاقب عليها القانون الجنائي بعقوبات سجنية ثقيلة تتراوح بين 10 و20 سنة سجنا وقد تصل في بعض الأحيان إلى 30 سنة وأحيانا أخرى إلى المؤبد إذا اقترنت بظروف تشديد”.
وشدد المسؤول على أن الأحداث المذكورة تمس أساسا بسلامة وأمن المواطنين وممتلكاتهم وأن القانون ينبغي أن يطبق في هذا الإطار بكل صرامة لحماية أمنهم وطمأنينتهم
