سجل الذهب، اليوم الأربعاء، أعلى مستوى له على الإطلاق مدعوما بالطلب على أصول الملاذ الآمن وعدم اليقين بشأن الرسوم الجمركية، وذلك في وقت يترقب فيه المتعاملون قرار مجلس الاحتياطي الاتحادي الأمريكي بشأن السياسة النقدية.
وبلغ سعر الذهب في المعاملات الفورية 3035.12 دولار للأوقية (الأونصة) بعد أن وصل إلى أعلى مستوى على الإطلاق عند 3038.90 دولار في وقت سابق من الجلسة.
وارتفعت العقود الأمريكية الآجلة للذهب 0.1 بالمئة إلى 3042.20 دولار.
وقفز سعر الذهب، الذي يعتبر تاريخيا وسيلة تحوط من عدم اليقين الجيوسياسي والاقتصادي، بأكثر من 15 بالمئة منذ بداية العام.
ومن المتوقع أن يبقي البنك المركزي الأمريكي سعر الفائدة القياسي ثابتا عند نطاق ( 4.25 – 4.50 بالمئة)، في ختام اجتماعه للسياسة النقدية الذي يستمر يومين في وقت لاحق من اليوم.

في المقابل، انخفضت المعادن النفيسة الأخرى، حيث تراجعت الفضة في المعاملات الفورية 0.2 بالمئة إلى 33.97 دولار للأوقية، وخسر البلاتين 0.4 بالمئة إلى 992.85 دولار، ونزل البلاديوم 0.1 بالمئة إلى 966.24 دولار.
