قال وزير العدل، عبد اللطيف وهبي، إن نحو 600 ألف مواطن مثلوا أمام القضاء في عام 2024 ونحو 400 ألف كانوا قيد الحراسة النظرية خلال العام نفسه.
وأكد وهبي، خلال لقاء نظمه حزب التقدم والاشتراكية حول مشروع قانون المسطرة الجنائية، أن ارتفاع عدد الأشخاص قيد الحراسة النظرية بالمغرب بأكثر من 40 في المائة خلال السنوات الأخيرة يطرح إشكالا، مذكرا بأن حقوق الأشخاص رهن الحراسة النظرية تعتبر غير كافية مقارنة بتلك التي يتمتع بها المتقاضون خلال المراحل اللاحقة.
وأشار أيضا إلى أن المعتقلين احتياطيا يمثلون 32 في المائة من مجموع نزلاء السجون بالمغرب، معربا عن أمله في أن يساهم استعمال الأساور الإلكترونية في تقليص هذه النسبة.
