أعلن الاتحاد الإفريقي لكرة القدم (كاف)، أمس الثلاثاء، تأجيل منافسات بطولة أمم إفريقيا للاعبين المحليين (شان 2024)، التي كان مقررا تنظيمها في كل كينيا وتنزانيا وأوغندا خلال الفترة من فاتح إلى 28 فبراير المقبل، إلى شهر غشت 2025.
وأوضح الاتحاد في بيان أنه بالرغم من التقدم الملحوظ الذي تم تحقيقه في كل من كينيا وتنزانيا وأوغندا على مستوى تشييد وتحديث الملاعب والفنادق والمستشفيات وباقي البنيات التحتية والتجهيزات الضرورية لإنجاح بطولة أمم إفريقيا للاعبين المحليين (شان 2024)، إلا أن خبراء (الكاف) في مجال البنيات التحتية أكدوا ضرورة منح مزيد من الوقت لضمان قدرة هذه المنشآت على استقبال التظاهرة في أحسن الظروف.
وأشاد باتريس موتسيبي رئيس الاتحاد الإفريقي لكرة القدم (كاف)، بهذه المناسبة، بمستوى التقدم الذي تم تسجيله على مستوى تشييد وتحديث البنيات التحتية والمنشآت الرياضية في كل من كينيا وتنزانيا وأوغندا، معربا عن يقينه بأن الملاعب وملاعب التدريب والفنادق والمستشفيات وباقي التجهيزات والبنيات التحتية ستحترم معايير الاتحاد وستكون جاهزة لاحتضان (الشأن) في غشت المقبل.
وأشار البيان إلى أن الاتحاد الافريقي لكرة القدم سينظم غدا الأربعاء بنيروبي حفل إجراء قرعة بطولة (شان 2024)، على أن يعلن في وقت لاحق عن الموعد النهائي لافتتاح البطولة.
وكان المنتخب الوطني المغربي قد تأهل مباشرة إلى نهائيات (الشان 2024) دون الحاجة لخوض التصفيات الإقصائية.
