أكد مساعد وزير الخارجية لشؤون الشرق الأوسط بالنيابة، جوي هود، الموقف الثابت للولايات المتحدة الأمريكية بخصوص الاعتراف بسيادة المغرب على الصحراء.
وأوضح جوي هود، أمس الأربعاء بالرباط، في تصريح لوسائل الإعلام بأنه ليس هناك أي تغيير في سياسة الولايات المتحدة حول الصحراء مقارنة بالإدارة السابقة.
وأبرز، المتحدث عقب محادثات مع وزير الشؤون الخارجية والتعاون الإفريقي والمغاربة المقيمين بالخارج، ناصر بوريطة، الجهود المكثفة الرامية إلى “دعم مسلسل الأمم المتحدة حتى يثمر نتائج” بشأن قضية الصحراء.
وكانت الولايات المتحدة قد أقرت الإعتراف الأمريكي الرسمي بسيادة المغرب الكاملة والتامة على الصحراء، من خلال إعلان رئاسي أمريكي، موقع بتاريخ 10 دجنبر الماضي.
وتم توزيع نص الإعلان بعد ذلك على الدول الـ193 الأعضاء في منظمة الأمم المتحدة، كوثيقة رسمية لمجلس الأمن. وفي الرسالة التي وجهت بهذه المناسبة إلى رئيس مجلس الأمن، وأرسلت نسخة منها إلى الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة، ذكرت الولايات المتحدة بأن المقترح المغربي للحكم الذاتي هو “الأساس الوحيد لحل عادل ودائم” للنزاع حول الصحراء.
