جددت الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، اليوم الخميس، التأكيد على أنه ليس هناك “أي تغيير” في موقفها بخصوص الاعتراف بسيادة المغرب على الصحراء.
وأكد المتحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية الأمريكية، نيد برايس، خلال مؤتمر صحفي، أن “هذا سيظل موقف إدارة” الرئيس جو بايدن.
وشدد على أنه “ليس هناك تغيير” حول هذه القضية، وذلك في استمرار واضح لموقف الولايات المتحدة بشأن موضوع السيادة الكاملة والتامة للمغرب على صحرائه.
ومن خلال إعلان رئاسي، وقع في 10 دجنبر الماضي، أقرت الولايات المتحدة باعترافها الرسمي بسيادة المملكة الكاملة والتامة على الصحراء.
وتم توزيع نص الإعلان بعد ذلك على الدول الـ193 الأعضاء في منظمة الأمم المتحدة، كوثيقة رسمية لمجلس الأمن. وفي الرسالة التي بعثت بهذه المناسبة إلى رئيس مجلس الأمن، وأرسلت نسخة منها إلى الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة، ذكرت الولايات المتحدة بأن المقترح المغربي للحكم الذاتي هو “الأساس الوحيد لحل عادل ودائم” للنزاع حول الصحراء.
