أعلن الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (فيفا) عن رفع إجمالي المبالغ المالية المخصصة للمنتخبات المشاركة في نهائيات كأس العالم 2026 إلى نحو 871 مليون دولار، مقارنة بـ727 مليون دولار تم الإعلان عنها في وقت سابق، وذلك استجابة لمخاوف تتعلق بارتفاع تكاليف المشاركة.
وأوضح فيفا، في بيان عقب اجتماع مجلسه المنعقد قبل انعقاد جمعيته العمومية المقررة في فانكوفر، أن هذه الزيادة تأتي في ظل ارتفاع نفقات السفر والضرائب والتكاليف التشغيلية التي تتحملها المنتخبات الـ48 المشاركة في البطولة التي ستقام في الولايات المتحدة والمكسيك وكندا.
وشملت الإجراءات الجديدة رفع منحة “تكاليف التحضير” لكل منتخب من 1.5 مليون دولار إلى 2.5 مليون دولار، إلى جانب زيادة مكافأة التأهل إلى النهائيات من 9 ملايين دولار إلى 10 ملايين دولار، فضلا عن تعزيز المساهمات الموجهة لتغطية نفقات الوفود ومخصصات تذاكر المنتخبات.
وقال رئيس الفيفا، جياني إنفانتينو، إن الهيئة الدولية “في أقوى وضع مالي في تاريخها”، مضيفا أن ذلك يتيح إعادة استثمار الموارد “بشكل غير مسبوق” في كرة القدم العالمية.
وتشير التقديرات إلى أن عائدات دورة كأس العالم الحالية الممتدة لأربع سنوات قد تصل إلى نحو 13 مليار دولار، في سابقة هي الأولى من نوعها في تاريخ المسابقة، التي ستشهد لأول مرة مشاركة 48 منتخبا.
