يبدأ الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب اليوم الاثنين زيارة رسمية لليابان، حيث يتعين أن يلتقي الامبراطور ناروهيتو ورئيسة الوزراء الجديدة ساناي تاكايشي بطوكيو، في إطار جولة آسيوية تهدف لتوقيع اتفاقيات تجارية واستثمارية.
وتأتي المحطة اليابانية بعد زيارة لماليزيا، حيث وقع الرئيس الأمريكي عدة اتفاقيات تجارية مع دول جنوب شرق آسيا على هامش القمة السابعة والأربعين لرابطة دول جنوب شرق آسيا (آسيان) بكوالالمبور، وأشرف على توقيع اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار بين تايلاند وكمبوديا.
وقال ترامب على منصته للتواصل الاجتماعي “تروث” قبل مغادرته ماليزيا “يشرفني إنجاز هذا. والآن، إلى اليابان!”.
وسيجري ترامب لقاءه الأول في اليابان مع الامبراطور ناروهيتو في القصر الإمبراطوري، تليه محادثات يوم الثلاثاء مع رئسية الوزراء تاكايشي في قصر أكاساكا.
وحصل ترامب على التزام استثماري بقيمة 550 مليار دولار من اليابان مقابل إعفاء اليابان من الرسوم الجمركية الأمريكية.
وفي أول اتصال هاتفي بينهما يوم السبت الماضي، أكدت ساناي تاكايشي لترامب أن تعزيز التحالف بين بلديهما “أولوية قصوى”.
ومن المرتقب أن تجدد رئيسة الوزراء اليابانية التزام طوكيو بزيادة الإنفاق الدفاعي، بعد أن أعلنت يوم الجمعة أنها ست سر ع أكبر عملية تعزيز عسكري لليابان منذ الحرب العالمية الثانية.
ويختتم الرئيس الأميركي جولته الآسيوية يوم الخميس بلقاء مرتقب مع الرئيس الصيني شي جين بينج على هامش قمة منتدى التعاون الاقتصادي لآسيا والمحيط الهادئ (أبيك) بكوريا، في الوقت الذي تسعى فيه المحادثات بين أكبر اقتصادين في العالم لتجنب استئناف الحرب التجارية.
