قال الملك محمد السادس بأنه ينتظر وتيرة أسرع لبرامج التنمية الترابية، وعلى وجه الخصوص توفير فرص الشغل والنهوض بقطاعات الصحة والتعليم، والعناية بالمناطق الأكثر هشاشة، وخاصة مناطق الجبال والواحات، والتفعيل الأمثل لآليات التنمية المستدامة للسواحل الوطنية.
وركز الملك في خطاب افتتاح الدورة الخريفية للبرلمان على ضرورة تأطير المواطنين والتعريف بالمبادرات التي تتخذها السلطات العمومية خصوصا حريات المواطنين، وقال إنها أيضا مسؤولية الأحزب السياسية والمنتخبين والإعلام وكل القوى الحية للأمة.
ودعا الملك محمد السادس نواب البرلمان إلى العمل بروح الجدية والدفاع عن قضايا المواطنين، وقال إنه لا ينبغي أن يكون هناك تنافس بين المشاريع الكبرى مادام الهدف هو تنمية البلاد وتحسين عيش المواطنين.
