أفادت فوزية بنعباد رئيسة قسم محو الأمية بالمساجد، بوزارة الأوقاف والشؤون الإسلامية، أن برنامح محو الأمية بالمساجد نجح في تحرير ما يقارب 5 ملايين مواطنة ومواطن من آفة الأمية منذ انطلاقه عام 2000، مسهما بنسبة 25 في المائة في الجهود الوطنية في هذا المجال.
وأبرزت بنعباد أن الوزارة تهدف من خلال هذا البرنامج إلى مواصلة اسهامها في الجهود الوطنية المبذولة للقضاء على الأمية بنسبة 13 في المائة (فئة 17 سنة فما فوق) في أفق سنة 2032، وذلك عبر تمكين المقبلين على الخدمات الأندراغوجية (تعليم الكبار)، بشكل تدريجي، من الكفايات الأساسية (المستوى الأول)، إلى أساليب ومهارات التعلم الذاتي والتعلم مدى الحياة، من أجل بلوغ أفق مفتوح يبث القيم الإيجابية لدى المستفيدين (المستوى الثاني).
