أعلن نادي أتلتيك بلباو الاسباني ،اليوم الجمعة ،عن تجديد عقد لاعبه الدولي نيكو ويليامس إلى غاية 2035 ،واضعا بذلك حدا لكل الشائعات المتداولة مؤخرا حول انتقال جناحه الى نادي برشلونة .
وقال النادي الباسكي في بيان نشره على موقعه الرسمي “توصل نادي أتلتيك بلباو ونيكو وليامس إلى اتفاق يقضي بتجديد عقد اللاعب لمدة ثماني سنوات بعد أن كان عقده ينتهي عام 2027”.
وأضاف البيان “سترتفع قيمة البند الجزائي في عقده بنسبة 50 في المئة مقارنة بالقيمة السابقة”.
ونقل الموقع الرسمي لبلباو عن وليامس (22 سنة) قوله “عندما يتعلق الأمر باتخاذ القرارات، فإن الأهم بالنسبة الي هو الاستماع الى القلب. أنا حيث أريد أن أكون، هذا بيتي، أوبا أتلتيك”. وكانت تقرير أشارت في الأيام الأخيرة عن اقتراب برشلونة من حسم صفقة انتقال وليامس إلى صفوفه، لكن النادي الكاتالوني الذي عانى أزمة مالية في السنوات الأخيرة ووجد صعوبة في تسجيل لاعبيه الجدد، لم يتمكن من اتمام الصفقة.
