أجرى رئيس مجلس المستشارين، محمد ولد الرشيد، أول أمس السبت بأوزبكستان، محادثات مع رئيس مجلس النواب البحريني، أحمد بن سلمان المسلم، وذلك على هامش أشغال الاتحاد البرلمان الدولي.
وذكر بلاغ لمجلس المستشارين أن اللقاء شكل مناسبة أشاد فيها الجانبان بمتانة وعمق العلاقات بين المملكتين الشقيقتين القائمة على التعاون والتضامن والاحترام، والتي تستـمد قوتها من الروابط الأخوية القوية والوثيقة بين صاحب الجلالة الملك محمد السادس، وأخيه صاحب الجلالة الملك حمد بن عيسى آل خليفة حفظهما الله.
وأبرز كل من محمد ولد الرشيد وأحمد بن سلمان المسلم أهمية تكثيف الزيارات وتبادل الخبرات وتقاسم التجارب بين برلماني البلدين، في خدمة القضايا المشتركة.
وشددا على دور الدبلوماسية البرلمانية في مواكبة التعاون الثنائي بين المملكتين، لاسيما من خلال مجموعة الصداقة والتعاون وتنسيق الجهود في المحافل البرلمانية الدولية.
كما أكد الجانبان على أهمية الدبلوماسية الاقتصادية في تقوية العلاقات الثنائية بين البلدين الشقيقين، داعيين إلى استثمار المؤهلات التي يزخر بها البلدان واستكشاف واستثمار كل الفرص والإمكانيات التي من شأنها تقوية التعاون الاقتصادي بين المملكتين الشقيقتين.
