جددت المملكة العربية السعودية، بنيويورك، تأكيد دعمها لمبادرة الحكم الذاتي التي قدمها المغرب من أجل التسوية النهائية للنزاع الإقليمي حول الصحراء، في إطار سيادة المملكة المغربية ووحدتها الترابية.
وفي مداخلة أمس الاثنين أمام اللجنة الرابعة للجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة، أبرز ممثل المملكة العربية السعودية، حسن بن محمد العمري، أن بلاده “تؤكد على دعم مبادرة الحكم الذاتي في الصحراء المغربية في إطار سيادة المغرب ووحدة ترابه الوطني، كحل يتطابق مع القانون الدولي وقرارات مجلس الأمن والجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة”.
وأشار إلى أن المملكة العربية السعودية تعرب عن رفضها لأي مساس بالمصالح العليا للمملكة المغربية أو التعدي على سيادتها أو وحدة ترابها الوطني.
وعبر الدبلوماسي عن دعم بلاده للجهود التي يقوم بها المغرب من أجل إيجاد حل سياسي واقعي لقضية الصحراء المغربية على أساس التوافق، بناء على قرارات مجلس الأمن ذات الصلة وتحت إشراف الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة.
