يمثل رئيس الحكومة عزيز أخنوش، صاحب الجلالة الملك محمد السادس في أشغال قمة “المياه الواحدة” رفيعة المستوى، التي انطلقت اليوم الثلاثاء في الرياض، لمناقشة ندرة المياه العالمية والتحديات ذات الصلة.
وكان عزيز أخنوش قد وصل إلى الرياض مساء أمس الاثنين، مرفوقا بوزير التجهيز والماء السيد نزار بركة للمشاركة في قمة المياه الواحدة.
ووجد في استقباله في مطار الملك خالد الدولي، صاحب السمو الأمير فيصل بن عبدالعزيز بن عياف أمين منطقة الرياض.
وتهدف قمة “المياه الواحدة”، التي تم الإعلان عنها على هامش مؤتمر الأطراف “كوب 28” بالشراكة مع المملكة العربية السعودية، إلى تعزيز حكامة المياه العالمية.
وتستضيف الرياض هذه القمة على هامش الاجتماع السادس عشر لمؤتمر الأطراف في اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة التصحر (كوب 16)، وتجمع قادة الدول والحكومات والمجتمعات المحلية والمؤسسات المالية التنموية، والشركات والمؤسسات الخيرية والمنظمات غير الحكومية والخبراء من مختلف أنحاء العالم؛ لتبادل الخبرات والبحث عن حلول مبتكرة ومستدامة.
وقمة “المياه الواحدة” هي مبادرة تقودها السعودية بالشراكة مع فرنسا وكازاخستان والبنك الدولي لمناقشة ندرة المياه العالمية.
ويشارك فيها كل من رئيس الجمهورية الفرنسية إيمانويل ماكرون، و رئيس جمهورية كازاخستان قاسم جومارت توكاييف، و رئيس البنك الدولي أجاي بانجا.
ومن المقرر أن يجمع المنتدى السنوي هذا العام المئات من صن اع السياسات وقادة قطاع الأعمال والخبراء من جميع أنحاء العالم في الجناح المخصص لمبادرة السعودية الخضراء في المنطقة الخضراء بمؤتمر (كوب 16).
وسيشهد المنتدى السنوي تنظيم جلسات متخصصة عديدة؛ بهدف استكشاف أفضل الممارسات والاطلاع على أحدث الابتكارات، واستعراض التقدم المحرز على صعيد تحقيق أهداف المبادرة، وذلك في إطار المساعي المستمرة لتعزيز آفاق التعاون وتسريع وتيرة الجهود الهادفة إلى بناء مستقبل أكثر استدامة.
