تولى جمهورية السنغال الرئاسة الدورية للاتحاد الإفريقي ابتداء من اليوم السبت.
وتسلم رئيس جمهورية السنغال، ماكي سال، خلال حفل افتتاح الدورة العادية الخامسة والثلاثين لقمة الاتحاد الإفريقي المنعقدة في أديس أبابا، الرئاسة الدورية للاتحاد حيث سيشغل هذا المنصب لعام واحد، خلفا لرئيس جمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية، فيليكس تشيسكيدي، المنتخب خلال الفترة 2021-2022.
وتعد هذه رابع مرة تتولى فيها السنغال رئاسة الاتحاد الإفريقي بعد سنوات 1980 مع الرئيس ليوبولد سيدار سنغور و1985 و 1992 في عهد الرئيس عبدو ضيوف عندما كان الاتحاد يحمل اسم (منظمة الوحدة الإفريقية).
وكان رؤساء دول وحكومات البلدان ال54 الأعضاء في الاتحاد الإفريقي، افتتحوا اليوم السبت، بمقر المنظمة الإفريقية بأديس أبابا، أشغال الدورة العادية الخامسة والثلاثين لقمة الاتحاد بمشاركة المغرب.
ويمثل وزير الشؤون الخارجية والتعاون الإفريقي والمغاربة المقيمين بالخارج، ناصر بوريط، الملك محمد السادس، في هذه الدورة التي تعقد تحت شعار “تعزيز القدرة على الصمود في مجال التغذية بالقارة الافريقية: تطوير الفلاحة من أجل تسريع التنمية السوسيو-اقتصادية والرأسمال البشري”.
