أعلن الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون عن مقتل زعيم تنظيم الدولة الإسلامية في الصحراء الكبرى ومرتزقة “البوليساريو”، عدنان أبو وليد الصحراوي، على يد القوات الفرنسية.
وأضاف رئيس الجمهورية الفرنسية، في تغريدة على “توتير”، ليلة الأربعاء الخميس، أن “الأمر يتعلق بنجاح كبير آخر في المعركة التي نخوضها ضد المجموعات الإرهابية بمنطقة الساحل”.
وكانت باريس قد أعلنت هذا الصيف، في يونيو ويوليوز، عن مقتل أو اعتقال عدد من كبار المسؤولين في تنظيم الدولة الإسلامية في الصحراء الكبرى من طرف القوة الفرنسية “برخان” وشركائها، وذلك في إطار استراتيجيتها الرامية لاستهداف قادة وأطر المنظمات الجهادية.
وتم تصنيف تنظيم الدولة الإسلامية في الصحراء الكبرى، الذي تم تأسيسه في العام 2015 من قبل عدنان أبو وليد الصحراوي، عضو “جبهة البوليساريو” والحركة الجهادية القاعدة في بلاد المغرب الإسلامي، على أنه “العدو الأول” في منطقة الساحل خلال قمة بو (جنوب-غرب فرنسا) في يناير 2020.
