أهدى العداء الأمين شنتوف، ميدالية ذهبية جديدة للمغرب، بعد فوزه صباح اليوم الأحد، بسباق الماراطون في( فئة T12 ) ، المدرج ضمن دورة الألعاب البارالمبية بطوكيو ،التي يسدل الستار على فعالياتها اليوم.
وبسط الأمين الشنتوف سيطرة مطلقة على السباق ، قاطعا المسافة في توقيت قدره ساعتين و21 دقيقة و43 ثانية (2:21:43)، محققا بالتالي رقما بارالمبيا جديدا لهذه المسافة ، ومتفوقا على الأسترالي جاريد كليفورد صاحب الميدالية الفضية ، والياباني تاداشي هوريكوشي الذي حل ثالثا و أحرز الميدالية النحاسية.
وتمكن الامين شنتوف ( 40 سنة ) ، من الحفاظ بالتالي على لقبه البرالمبي ، بعد أن حاز الميدالية الذهبية، في دورة الألعاب البارالمبية السابقة، في ريو دي جانيرو البرازيلية 2016.
وبهذا الانجاز العالمي رقع الشنتوف رصيد المغرب في هذه الالعاب الى 11 ميدالية ، بعد ذهبية عبد السلام حيلي وزكرياء الدرهم ، وفضية فوزية القسيوي ، ويسرى كريم ، ومحمد أمكون ، وعز الدين النويري ، وبرونزية حياة الكرعة ، وسعيدة عمودي و المنتخب الوطني المغربي لكرة القدم الخماسية للمكفوفين، ليرتقي المغرب في الترتيب العام إلى المركز الـ28
