حقق المغرب تقدما ملحوظا في نسخة عام 2025 من مؤشر الابتكار العالمي (Global Innovation Index – GII)، حيث احتل المرتبة 57 عالميا، وهو أفضل تصنيف له على الإطلاق، ودخل لأول مرة ضمن الـ 60 الأوائل عالميا.
ويمثل هذا التقدم بمقدار 9 مراتب مقارنة بعام 2024 استمرارا للمسار التصاعدي للمملكة، التي انتقلت من المرتبة 75 في عام 2020 إلى المرتبة 57 من أصل 139 اقتصادا تم تقييمهم من قبل المؤشر. وبذلك، أصبح المغرب يحتل المرتبة الرابعة بين الدول ذات الدخل المتوسط المنخفض، والثامنة على مستوى منطقة شمال إفريقيا وغرب آسيا.
ويعكس هذا الأداء الدينامية التي يشهدها الاقتصاد المغربي في تحوله الهيكلي، حيث ينتقل تدريجيا من اقتصاد يعتمد على الموارد الأولية والإنتاج منخفض التكلفة إلى قطاعات تعتمد على التكنولوجيا المتقدمة ورأس المال غير المادي.
وحل المغرب في المرتبة 77 عالميا في مؤشر المدخلات الابتكارية، والمرتبة 51 عالمي ا في مؤشر المخرجات الابتكارية، حيث حقق مردودية جيدة في تحويل الاستثمارات إلى نتائج ملموسة في مجال البحث والتكنولوجيا والإبداع.
ويحتل المغرب الآن المرتبة 12 عالميا في صناعة التكنولوجيا العالية، والتي تمثل حوالي 50 في المائة من إجمالي إنتاجه الصناعي. فيما يواصل تموقعه ضمن العشر الأوائل عالميا في إيداع الرسوم الصناعية مقارنة بالناتج المحلي الإجمالي.
وجاء المغرب في المرتبة 16 عالميا في الإنفاق على التعليم، والمرتبة 24 في نمو إنتاجية العمل. والمرتبة 26 في إيداع العلامات التجارية، والمرتبة 26 في كثافة الأصول غير المادية.
