غادر الرئيس الأمريكي، دونالد ترامب، العاصمة واشنطن، صباح اليوم الجمعة، في اتجاه ألاسكا، من أجل عقد قمة مرتقبة مع نظيره الروسي فلاديمير بوتين، بهدف مناقشة اتفاق محتمل لإنهاء الحرب الروسية الأوكرانية.
وكتب الرئيس ترامب في منشور على منصته (تروث سوشال): “رهان كبير!”، وذلك قبيل صعوده على متن الطائرة الرئاسية (إير فورس وان)، في رحلة تستغرق قرابة السبع ساعات إلى أنكوريج، كبرى مدن ولاية ألاسكا الأمريكية.
ومن المقرر أن ينطلق اجتماع الرئيس الأمريكي مع نظيره الروسي حوالي الساعة السابعة والنصف مساء بتوقيت غرينتش في أنكوريج، في القاعدة العسكرية الأمريكية “إلمندورف ريتشاردسون”، التي اكتست أهمية استراتيجية خلال فترة الحرب الباردة.
وكان الرئيس ترامب، أكد، أمس الخميس، أن أي اتفاق لإنهاء الحرب الروسية الأوكرانية سيتطلب عقد قمة ثلاثية تجمعه بكل من فلاديمير بوتين والرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي، وذلك عقب اجتماعه المقرر اليوم الجمعة مع الرئيس الروسي.
وصرح ترامب لإذاعة (فوكس نيوز) بأن “الاجتماع الثاني سيكون مهما للغاية، إذ سيبرمان خلاله اتفاقا. لا أريد أن أستخدم عبارة تقاسم (الأراضي). لكن، إلى حد ما، هذا ليس مصطلحا سيئا”.
وأشار دونالد ترامب إلى أنه سيكون هناك تبادل للأراضي الحدودية، معتبرا أن احتمال فشل لقائه مع نظيره الروسي في ألاسكا يبلغ 25 في المائة.
