حطمت حركة المسافرين الجوية العالمية، على غرار ما كان متوقعا، الأرقام القياسية خلال سنة 2024، بزيادة 10,4 بالمائة على أساس سنوي، وذلك بحسب البيانات الصادرة أمس الخميس عن الاتحاد الدولي للنقل الجوي.
وذكر الاتحاد في بيان إن حركة العبور التي يتم التعبير عنها بمؤشر مسافر لكل كيلومتر واحد، تجاوزت مستوى سنة 2019 بنسبة 3,8 بالمائو، قبل جائحة كوفيد-19 التي وج هت ضربة قاسية للسفر.
وسبق للاتحاد الذي يضم حوالي 340 شركة تمث ل أكثر من 80 بالمائة من الحركة الجوية العالمية، أن أشار مطلع دجنبر الماضي إلى أنه يتوقع تسجيل عدد قياسي من المسافرين في 2024 يبلغ 4,89 مليار مقابل 4,44 مليار في 2023 و4,54 مليار في 2019.
وفي سنة 2020، العام الذي بدأت فيه الأزمة الصحية، انهارت هذه الأرقام إلى 1,78 مليار مسافر.
وأوضح الاتحاد أنه على الرغم من الزيادة التي سج لت العام الماضي (8,7 بالمائة)، فإن سعة مقاعد شركات الطيران لم تواكب الطلب، مما أد ى إلى معدل إشغال غير مسبوق للطائرات بنسبة 83,5 بالمائة، مقابل 82,2 بالمائة في 2023.
وكانت شركات الطيران في المحيط الهادئ الأكثر دينامية بزيادة 19,6 بالمائة من حركة العبور على مدار العام، وحافظت على المركز الأول في هذه المنطقة الجغرافية، بنسبة 33,5 بالمائة من مجمل الحركة الجوية العالمية.
واحتل ت شركات الطيران الأوروبية المركز الثاني بنسبة 26,7 بالمائة من حركة العبور، بزيادة 8,7 بالمائة على أساس سنوي، في حين نالت شركات الطيران في أميركا الشمالية نسبة 22,9 بالمائة من حركة العبور العالمية، بزيادة 4,6 بالمائة.
