أعلنت رئاسة الجمهورية الموريتانية، أنه بموجب مرسوم صادر مساء أمس الجمعة، تم تعيين المختار ولد أجاي وزيرا أول، وتكليفه بتشكيل حكومة جديدة.
وجاء تعيين ولد أجاي في هذا المنصب، عقب تقديم الوزير الأول السابق، محمد ولد بلال مسعود، في وقت سابق من يوم أمس، استقالة حكومته للرئيس الغزواني.
وقد تم، الخميس الماضي، تنصيب الرئيس محمد ولد الشيخ الغزواني الذي أعيد انتخابه رئيسا للبلاد لولاية ثانية خلال الانتخابات التي نظمت يوم 29 يونيو الماضي بعد حصوله على ما نسبته 56.12 في المائة من أصوات الناخبين الموريتانيين.
يذكر أن ولد أجاي سبق له وأن تولى عدة مناصب منها وزير المالية عام 2015، ثم وزير الاقتصاد والمالية ( 2016 – 2019).
وشغل الوزير الأول الموريتاني الجديد كذلك منصب المدير العام للشركة الوطنية الموريتانية للصناعة والمناجم (2019 – 2021 ).
وكان يشغل، قبل تعيينه وزيرا أول، منصب وزير مكلف بالديوان الرئاسي.
