هنأ حزب الحركة الشعبية الملك محمد السادس، بعد تتويجه بجائزة التميز الرياضي من طرف الإتحاد الإفريقي لكرة القدم.
وحسب بلاغ صادر عن الأمانة العامة لحزب السنبلة، فإن هذا التتويج الإفريقي، هو تعبير قوي واعتراف تأكيدي بجهود جلالته المتواصلة للدفاع عن المصالح الاستراتيجية للقارة الإفريقية ووحدتها والنهوض بتنميتها في مختلف المجالات الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية والبيئية، برؤية استراتيجية تروم تعزيز مكانة افريقيا كشريك أساسي في العالم الجديد .
كما عبر الحزب عن اعتزازه بترشح المغرب بمعية الجارتين إسبانيا والبرتغال لتنظيم بطولة كأس العالم لكرة القدم سنة 2030 ، و الذي هو ثمرة لجهود جلالة الملك حفظه الله وتزكية للمكانة العالمية التي أضحت تحتلها كرة القدم الوطنية بفضل المجهودات الجبارة للجامعة الملكية المغربية لكرة القدم ولكافة مكونات المنتخب الوطني والجماهير الرياضية المغربية.
واعتبر الحزب بأن هذا الترشح هو كذلك ترسيخ للعلاقات الجيواستراتجية المبنية على الصداقة الراسخة والمتينة وعلى قيم التعاون وحسن الجوار والأفق المشترك الذي يجمع المملكة المغربية مع المملكة الإسبانية وجمهورية البرتغال.
