تسبب حريق اندلع بحر الشهر الجاري، في اتلاف ما يناهز 45 هكتار من أشجار النخيل، حيث ساهم غياب مسالك داخل الواحة في و تراكم الجريد اليابس وحطام الحطب داخل الحقول في اطفاء الحرق بشكل متأخر .
وأدت الرياح التي هبت بواحة افرا التابعة لإقليم زاكورة إلى انتشارها بالدواوير المجاورة والقريبة ، حيث بلغت دوار أيت ساكت الواقع أقصى شرق الدواواير القريبة للواحة في ظرف وجيز .
ولم تتمكن السلطات المختصة مجسدة في عامل الإقليم ورجال الوقاية المدني و الدرك الملكي من السيطرة على الحريق سوى بصعوبة ، حيث امتدت النيران غربا بفعل عامل الرياح لتأتي على جزء مهم من أشجار النخيل.
ودعا ساكنة المنطقة الجهات المعنية خاصة مسؤولي وزارة الفلاحة إلى زيارة المنطقة قصد الوقوف عن الأضرار والخسائر التي لحقت الواحة، ومن ثمة ابداع حلول ووضع استراتيجية لتعويضا .
