ذكرت المديرية الجهوية للصناعة التقليدية بأن الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية توجد على رأس قائمة الأسواق المستوردة لمنتجات الصناعة التقليدية بفاس بما مجموعه 140 مليون و 755 ألف درهم خلال العشر سنوات الماضية، تليها إسبانيا (28 مليون و 929 ألف درهم) ، ثم فرنسا (28 و 925 ألف درهم).
و بلغت قيمة صادرات منتجات الصناعة التقليدية بفاس بين سنتي 2011 و 2020 ما مجموعه 315,8 مليون درهم.
وأفادت معطيات للمديرية الجهوية للصناعة التقليدية بأن صادرات منتجات الصناعة التقليدية على مستوى عمالة فاس بلغت ذروتها سنة 2019 بتسجيل عائدات بقيمة إجمالية تصل إلى 66,5 مليون درهم.
وتعتبر الصناعة التقليدية، بالرغم من تداعيات جائحة فيروس كورونا المستجد، من القطاعات الأساسية في اقتصاد جهة فاس-مكناس، حيث تشغل حوالي 124 ألف شخص، نحو 80 ألف من بينهم بالعاصمة الروحية للمملكة.
وحسب لجنة اليقظة الاقتصادية بفاس-مكناس، تعيش آلاف الأسر بفاس من عائدات مختلف القطاعات الحرفية (64 في المائة من مجموع مناصب الشغل)، حيث شهد رقم معاملات القطاع تراجعا بنسبة مليار و 675 مليار درهم خلال فترة الحجر الصحي، نتيجة تراجع بنسبة 68 في المائة في الصادرات.
كما تسببت الأزمة في توقف أزيد من 87 ألف حرفي في مجالي الفن والإنتاج، من بينهم 36 ألف حرفي بالمدينة العتيقة، عن أنشطتهم وتوقف واردات المواد الأولية، وصادرات المنتجات النهائية ،وكذا تراجع التسويق بسبب إلغاء المعارض الوطنية والدولية المخصصة للصناعة التقليدية.
