أكد رئيس الحكومة سعد الدين العثماني “أن المغرب يظل ملتزما بإيجاد حل نهائي للخلاف الإقليمي حول الصحراء المغربية، في إطار وحدته الترابية وسيادته الوطنية”.
وقال العثماني خلال كلمة له بثت عن بعد أمام ممثلي الدول الأعضاء في الأمم المتحدة في بمناسبة الدورة ال75 للجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة، بأن الحل السياسي الذي يمكن أن تتفاوض من أجله المملكة لحل نزاع الصحراء لا يمكن أن يخرج عن معايير اساسية متمثلة في السيادة الكاملة للمغرب على صحرائه ومبادرة الحكم الذاتي و المشاركة الكاملة لجميع الأطراف في البحث عن حل نهائي فضلا عن الاحترام التام للمبادئ والمعايير التي كرسها مجلس الأمن في جميع قراراته منذ 2007.
ولم يفت العثماني أن ينقل للمنتظم الدولي مخاوف المملكة وقلقها تجاه الوضعية المزرية التي تعيشها ساكنة مخيمات تندوف خاصة بأنها خاضعة لتسيير جماعة مسلحة انفصالية، وذلك عكس ما التزمت به الدولة المضيفة لهذه الجماعة في الاتفاقية الدولية الموقعة سنة 1951 الخاصة بوضع اللاجئين .
